The
story begins: "Three laundry trucks stopped in the moonlight near a
large commercial airport on Long Island. They made little noise. The machines
bore the name of a New York City laundry firm".
The adventure begins with Doc and his men returing
to New York from the north pole in the submarine, Helldiver, (see
The Polar Treasure). A group of deadly half-caste
mongols led by the inscrutable Laing-Sun steal airplanes and attempt to
bomb the Helldiver from the air. Their evil oriental master, Tom Too will
stop at nothing to eliminate anyone who may oppose him. His goal...take-over
the Luzon Union...and the entire Orient! Renny is is taken prisoner by
the half-castes, but Doc picks up his trail and rescues both Renny and
Juan Mindoro from death. Tom Too's conspiracy is far-reaching in its corruption
of officials in the Orient. Mindoro heads a secret political group that
is battling Tom Too in Luzon. Mindoro, an acquaintance of Doc's, becomes
a strong ally. When Monk, Long Tom and Johnny are taken prisoner by Tom
Too, the trail leads to San Francisco, and aboard the Malay Queen,
a liner bound for the Luzon Union. Once in Luzon, Doc hunts down and frees
his men from the clutches of Tom Too. Then Doc pulls a deception on Tom
Too's army of mercenaries and criminal thugs hidden on a nearby island
awaiting the order to begin the revolt. A dramatic chase and battle ensue
in the shark infested waters of the island. Juan Mindoro aides in the routing
of corrupted officials and dispatches the Luzon Navy to assist in the final
end to Tom Too. Back To Adventures Page
